Hey everyone, I'm Kaitlin.
The photographer behind Lemon & Honey. Home base in Florida and documenting stories across the world, I specialize in authentic documentary style weddings and creative shoots by taking photography up a notch. I capture emotion and moments that show off who you are. My whole life I have been a creative person. From art to photography and even performing arts. I started my business almost 10 years ago now and every year I want more and more to give. When a client comes to me with the most creative vision, that is when sparks fly! No awkward posing or asking where your hands go. You are fully submerged into the moment with complete direction on everything all while having fun and blasting your favorite tunes.
Photos have an artistic power to make us feel like ourselves, to truly bring out the unique and special parts of us that we want to be seen. In a world that focuses on the shallow and fleeting ideals of the material space we live in, there is a deeper part of us that really knows who we are. And you know what? A few things you might be thinking about:
Do you pose us or is it more candid?
Instead of posing, I give you things to do that involve movement and emotion to allow for you to be naturally yourself. I softly direct movement like you are a part of your own movie with a mix of laid back capture like it is moments too. When it comes to weddings, I love to let the day unfold with all the natural emotions and interactions so I can capture the day as it should be.
What if we need to reschedule our shoot because of weather?
We can totally reschedule if the weather is treacherous, but some of my favorite shoots are in the rain/snow/fog etc.! Honestly, the wind and some funky weather are so much fun to add some spice into your photos, and rain gives me total Notebook vibes (if you have never seen The Notebook, go watch it right now and thank me later)! When the time comes we can decide together if we need to make other arrangements. No worries!
When do we get our photos back?
You get previews shortly after your wedding, with your full gallery delivered in 4-8 weeks. Creative shoots or portraits receive a full gallery in 2-3 weeks.
What does booking look like?
After you fill out the contact form and we discuss everything about your session, then I will email you a simple photo agreement and an invoice for a retainer to book your date. The rest of the payments are split up until your wedding or session date.
*Because I only take on one client per day to ensure my full focus is on you, an initial retainer is required to secure your spot. A spot is not reserved without a retainer.
Will you help with timeline or planning?
When it comes to weddings and elopements, I take on the timeline planning and coordination. For my creative sessions and custom experiences, I take on the full planning process once we discuss all of your wants and needs to bring your vision to life.
Do you travel?
Always, and more often than not actually! Whether its out of state or out of country. Let me know where and I will have the car packed and passport in hand. I do not send separate invoices/fees for traveling, everything is included in your package.
